  2. I like the narrower head and the longer handle on the Slim. Matter of fact I used it today with a GSB blade. Always gives a smooth shave. The Fatboy never worked for me.

  4. I also have Stirling Barbershop great sent next I want to pick up “executive Man”
  5. I find the Slim Adjustable works better for me than the Fatboy. However you may have a different experience. YMMV.

  6. I read ppl also like the smaller handle
  7. That's a hard one, so I have 2 of each one, or is it 3. Well both are great razors, the fatboy is on the heavy side of the two.
You can't go wrong with either one.
Oh how I hate it when I have to choose between two great razors.

I get identical shaves from both. Some say the Slim is better under the nose. The handle is strr

  9. The slim works better for me, and I have no idea why. I like them both but every time the Slim just works better for me.

  10. The Fatboy has always provided a better shave for me and I dont know why. Ive owned several of each and always the same results. Im guessing the shorter handle and the extra weight but its only a guess.

  11. I have tried several of both Fat Boys and Slims, a short handled Black Beauty, too. Fat Boy wins for me.

@Mike-R41 the obvious choice is try both. If you don't get in a hurry they are around. If you are in a hurry and on a budget the Slims tend to cost less. Fat Boys have a certain Cult like appeal and usually cost more. Could also be lower production makes them less available.

  13. How about a long handle Black Beauty? No, ok just the slim or the Fatboy,
75/25 to the slim. Easier for under the nose for me, but the more weight of the Fatboy does let me slide a bit on technique without getting punished as much.

  16. Don’t have a Fat Boy, but I do have a Slim and a long handled Black Beauty. They are by far my favorite razors, both set on 5. I probably prefer the Black Beauty because of the longer handle. Does anyone know how the Parker Variant compares to the Slim and Black Beauty? If I’m not mistaken, the Parker only has 5 settings.

  17. Completely different geometry, not really comparable based on number settings or gap. I prefer my Progress to my Slim but that's just me.

  18. I luve the looks and heft of the "195" but the "Slim" is easier to use under the schnoz. Both classics. The FB is a 1958 and the Slim a 1964.
