I'm in for Just Shave July and for sharing chemist and chemistry cartoons, of course. :)

I enjoyed a nice and simple shave this morning with my Flare Tip before going to see my sweet kiddos. I hope you all have a great week, and I look forward to riding along with everyone this month.

    July 1st

Cella: PS Gel, SC, AS Balm, AS
    Puma Special
    Darwin Drake 2 band badger

2.5 pass DFS+ shave this morning. A little over 2 weeks since using the Puma Special. This am, it did laps on a CrOx dedicated leather strop, then onto linen and leather of a Ezra Arthur Horsehide 3" Strop. What a difference! Very comfortable, smooth, clean feeling, all business shave. No skipping, tugging. This Puma is a full hollow grind, so it is quite audible when it crosses hair shafts while shaving. However....on the second pass, it was noticeably quieter, lending me to believe it was really getting it done. Ran a hand over the shaved area before the second SC application, and face feel was possibly one of the closest first passes I've achieved. A couple landing weepers, but they didn't detract at all. Pretty stoked.

The Darwin Drake and the Cella family of products.....finally got the AS Balm and PS Gel early last week. These Italians know shaving....putting it all together finally, was not only a great slick face feel from the beginning application of the PS Gel, but now even an hour after shaving and using the ASB and AS. I'm not the biggest fan of many AS Balms....just too greasy, like a bad sunscreen (for the few balms I've tried). Definitely not like that with the Cella AS Balm. Light and dissipates within a few minutes. While Cella isn't trendy artisan shaving (in the US), it's a top 5 or 6 contender in my world and rotation (big fan of the fragrance too, a very sweet almond).

Hope every has a Magnificent Monday!
  7. Thank you Jim.

  10. Excellent image Jim! Everything looks like it's been clear coated with 10 layers.... Great grouping of hardware and software too!

Very nice image also Joseph! Some more Fine products may have to hit my August list :bounce015: if y'all keep posting such great images and reports. And....dropped razor (any razor).....instant hands apart feet apart jumping jack position for me. Very glad that it ended well!

Great image and shave setup Clint (as always)! Big fan of that razor and brush handle.
  11. Y'know, a check on the history of Lavender as a fragrance indicates it was first meant for men.
