    Just a nice, pleasant shave with vintage hardware. Great as always...

    On a different note, back around the holidays, I picked up an old hobby, listening to shortwave radio. I mention this because of something that occurred yesterday. Anybody remember the incident with an eBay seller named Uncle Ding a couple of years back? I ask because I and a couple of others in a Facebook group have encountered a SW radio equivalent of the situation.

    Basically, yesterday afternoon, I stumbled on a BIN listing for a Chinese-made radio (Retekess TR201) which normally sells for around $20 for $1 with free shipping and five available. Figuring that there wasn't much to lose for a buck, I purchased one and then mentioned the listing in a FB group. Within an hour or so, the rest were sold. A couple of hours later, the seller messaged myself and the other buyers the following:

    "hi,friend
    thanks for your purchasing
    but we have just been informed by the supplier that the item has some problem on quality and we can't make sure when it can be solved
    how about we refund you first to save your time? and when we get it sovled we will let you know first, is that ok ?
    or what is your ideas?
    waiting for your news
    have a nice day"

    As of now, I and at least two other people have told him that we will wait, thank you. Since then, the listing has been cancelled because of "an error in the listing". :)

    It should be interesting to see how it all turns out...

    Missed this report. Apologies Robert! Very nice. I've only shaved a couple times with a Tech (PIF'd from TSD member CrustyCat back during the Spring Raffle). Awesome razor, bulletproof is right, it just does it. Nice setup of Stirling. Had to go look up that brush. Neat!

    To follow up-I should have mentioned that Doc Pinaud was doing a 10% off sale(4th of July)-figured now should be the time. That isn't to say he might not have other discounts throughout the year, but I just thought....Aaaaah(well, you know the rest, lol).
