  4. I hated woodshop and metalshop. I was more impressed watching my Dad develop black&white photos. My dad loved me, my wood&metal shop teachers didn't. I'll take love for a thousand.
  5. That to.

    July 3rd

    Proraso PS Red
    Zenith 2 band badger
WK SS - La Fougere Parfaite
    ShaveSmith Kamisori
    Thayers WH - Rose
WK AS - La Fougere Parfaite

2.5 passes. Went a little too aggressive on the second shave with the Kami. First pass was the usual for the cheeks, N-S, but then tried buffing for the first pass of the neck, also N-S. Didn't work so well and caught a few slight landing weepers. Oops. Had to tread lightly on the neck for the remaining passes, as traces of lather matched the handle wrapping :sad023:. Did the S-N pass everywhere. and then a XTG pass on the neck, as there was still more to try and swipe away. Did better on the chin area, just lost it on the neck trying something new. DFS on the cheeks, and CCS- on the neck. Tomorrow's another day!

Wholly Kaw La Fougere Parfaite.....a mouthful. It's an awesome performing SS, great face feel, slick and creamy. The Zenith loaded easily and splayed with fun. Wonderful aroma. Had to go after some Thayers WH to help with the weepers, and then layered more WK AS on top. Great face feel, all the irritation mostly unnoticed an hour later.

Busy day today....will try to check in this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!

  9. That's a formidable weapon, Blair. I am impressed that you still have a head on your shoulders. ;)
  10. Thank you, Jim. I only have two shaves in, but honestly these sticks are more enjoyable than the other sticks I use.

  13. Thank you, Clint! The quality of the lather is definitely nice with the CK6 formula, so I would rate these above the my other sticks. The scent is top notch as well.
    Another beautiful picture!

    Another "Loquacious" post by Primo...

In an effort to regain my MOJO, I took some extra time this morning to work the Red-Injun
on the Naniwa 12K and the Shapton 16K stones.
Taking @Keithmax 's advice, I worked up a slurry on both stones with a 600K lapping stone and,

keeping the pressure "ultra-light", used two hands to lap the blade.
I alternated between straight laps and modified X laps.
The slurry sounded gritty and I continued to spritz the stone with water until it was clear.
    Same procedure on the 16K.
Followed up with untreated linen and leather stropping.
The Williams was M-Bombed and I had enough lather to shave a basketball team.
Really nice 'n slick and the menthol was lovely, but not over-powering.
So, how was the edge, you are wondering :signs002:
    Answer: pretty darn fine. :)
WTG pass was "buttering toast" loud and removed the majority of the 24 hour stubble.
XTG and ATG passes followed without incident.
It's still "flummoxing", but no weepers today as opposed to yesterday.
    Alum was subdued.
    Thayer's was...whatever...medicinal.

The finishing touch, inspired by @ilts was the Clubman SR.
    Manly juice. :happy088:

  19. Gillette New Improved Weber Bulldog Handle
Gillette Silver Blue (day 4 I think)
    Semogue BC Mistura
    Real Shave Co SC
    Superior 70 Bay Rum

Skipped yesterday as I didn't need much of a shave. This morning was two quick passes and good.

No irritation, close enough to get me through the work day and into the long weekend.
  20. Thank you, Danny!
