Andrew, I believe you were WATCHING me write that.....I mean, you gave me the "like" JUST as I finished writing!!!!
John, I think I pushed too hard with the Frost Drops-came out a bit thick (not unlike shaving cream)!. I put some in the Burma Shave Soap, and...yes....even in the Stoylin Eskimo Tuxedo.
I think you are supposed to add the drops right before you shave. Perhaps while your loading your brush Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Andrew, you're right. It may have been a waste to put them in without using the soap right away. I'll be ready for the plan tomorrow(and in future Frost Drop shaves).
I've decided I am "not above" trying the recently received MenthaScrub bath soap as just that-in my shower as a pre-shave(course as a bodywash too). Time to tae advantage of staying as cool as possible. Course if I change my mind, it will always be at my sink, for hand-washing. I won't mind having cold hands at each wash, for a couple weeks. .
I used my Blood on Steel soap and aftershave this morning for the first time. I wish I could describe scents well but I can't - I'll leave that to Andrew who is a master at it. All I can say is that it is great stuff. I just love that Stirling lather,.
John, let's see if I can help. Does it have a similar scent to, say, a BLOODy Mary drink?(I wouldn't know muhself, never had one...I just thought the twi Bloods might be the same).
I have a feeling I might make another play for Frost Drops before the summer's out. 3 vials may not be enough.
John, let me come at it from another angle. The Central Texas Soaps Weekend Rodeo(soap&A.S.)I plan to buy before the fall&winter hits,is described the following way:"Warm tanned leather. Simple And Unapologetic. " That's what you need to do....get products that have only one scent. (Teasing, lol).
You didn't let me finish-I was about to say "Course most Stoylin products do have more than one scent mixed in".. But thanks for the basenotes thing on BOS.
Paul, I can handle the single of two scent note accords but not the complex accords. Did you see all the scent notes in BoS? That's why all I can do is boil it down to - smells great. It's long lasting too - I'm still smelling it several hours later. FYI, it passed the Wife test too.
Come to think of it Paul, this might be one you'd like to try next you're hanging around aisle #12 at the Super Market
