Thank you, Jim. I'm still inspired by your "before" photo you showed me at the meetup. You've done a great job maintaining your weight as well.
Great shave, Danny! I remember when you bought that brush. WCS had it in 3 different colors and they all looked nice. I almost pulled the trigger on it.
Charlie, I thought you Southerners stick together. You will make Danny's head explode by telling him he has anything to do with a Yankee product. You really are a pot stirrer! Lol!
Charlie, that happens when you wear short pants. I hear... I video chat with family using the FaceBook Messenger app. Wifi will be on, international calling off. Been in plenty of situations where an orange vest, hard hat , and a clipboard talked me into secure locations. I can go business casual as much as I don't dress up much. Now that's something I hadn't considered. Thanks Keith! And new apps coming out all the time. My Aussie son in a computer wiz, I'll ask him so I can have everything already loaded. Bill - do consider the glass dish when you shop for Tabac unless you opt for a least expensive shave stick refill. The lid is plastic though well built and the dish has baked in (sprayed on?) logo rather than a sticker.
Just July 2019 July 6, 7 Razor - Wunderbar Blade - (1,2) Soap - Stirling 2018 Fair Debonaire St. Louis/Stirling Blood on Steel 2019 Brush - Stirling Two Band Synthetic/30DC Meet up LE Post - Alum So, yes, I'm still alive and kicking after a busy few days of Fair St. Louis, Ariana Grande Concert and various other crowd inducing events that require people with cars to transport the masses. I didn't even go near a razor until yesterday afternoon just before heading out, and finally again tonight after a long day of travelling to Springfield, IL to visit one of Jennifer's Brothers in Law who is in the hospital, and has been for going on 5 months now. That trip followed an arrival this morning from work at 3 a.m. after "earning" my first cleaning fee from a drunk not quite making it home. It's been an eventful few days. Glad to get two shaves in. Just to warn you - we are going on a camping trip from Wednesday through Saturday so expect my absence then as well. You all keep things going around here, alright? Like you're having any problems with nearly 80 pages already. Anyway, shave yesterday and today featured the Wunderbar Slant with a Sharp Star. Great blade and this razor is a beast. I had 4 days growth yesterday and two passes cut it down to a near-BBS. A few minor nicks but nothing serious. Today I did two passes back to a BBS and much more comfortable as I remembered to let the weight of the razor do the work. Lather both days was from my two Stirling LE soaps, the Fair Debonaire from last summer and Blood on Steel from the Meet up. The Meet up brush got to sine with the Blood on Steel and is an incredibly good brush. Still don't have one? Five left. Let me know. Anyway, there you go. I'm caught up on posting. Now to start reading. Have a great week!
Congrats on the shave and maintaining your weight. By the annual meeting pictures, you look great! As a senior citizen (I still can't believe that I am one.), I just want to be healthy and look good in my clothes. I have to go to the gym 6 days/ week to accomplish it. At 5 foot seven, I was 200 lbs. and now I fluctuate between 168 to 173 lbs. It is very difficult because I have to watch my sweet tooth. Lol! This exercise regimen was the best thing for me and I am sure you can say the same about yours as well. Keep it moving, my brother!
Ok, did you say pork salad in your Southern accent! Ok, now you can slam me on my NY accent. It only seems fair! Lol!
I guess they only gave you change with the copper plated zinc pennies! Thanks for the periodic table acronym!
Joe, thank you for the encouragement and the sage advice. You've also done a great job maintaining your health and weight, and you are an inspiration to me.
No......it is poke salad. I actually ate some a couple of months back. It is o.k. but I ain't that hungry.
