July 8 SOTD: Razor: Rocnel Adjustable Blade: Rapira PL Brush: Ever-Ready 150 Lather: CO Bigelow Aftershave: Proraso Green Additional Care: Stirling Unscented PSB A nice, smooth two pass shave with the Rocnel this morning. As always, the CO Bigelow and Proraso made for a nice Menthol Monday shave. I had a busy afternoon yesterday, as I found my wife's water pump drawing coolant just as we got home from church. It isn't to much fun doing shade tree mechanic work in SE Texas without a shade tree. But, the pump is changed. Unfortunately, some of the other things I had planned yesterday didn't get done, but I can get them later today. I hope everyone has a great day!
Thank you, Jim! Same to you! Shame about the water pump. Congrats getting it fixed. Fortunately I do my wrenching in a garage. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thank you, Jim. Unfortunately, I had a light go out in the garage a week or so ago, so I can't see too well in there at the moment. And, in reality, the garage isn't much cooler than outside. Plus, my garage is no where as near as neat as your garage is, nor does it have as nice of vehicles.
I'm pretty lucky. When my wife decided she wanted to move I only had three stipulations, one being the garage. I didn't do any of the house hunting with her. She found this one which has an even better garage than I asked for. The bay my truck is parked in is nearly forty feet deep. Pretty cool to be able to back in, close the overhead door, open the tailgate and unload new patio furniture during a snowstorm. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Great pics, Blair! I've never been to either of those. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
July 8, 2019 Supply Co V2 with 2 dot plate Schick Proline Thäter Boar Oleo Shiloh Shave Soap & Aftershave The boar chewed through the Shiloh and whipped up a wonderful rich slick lather. I didn't quite finish the soap but it should be gone on the next use. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Shiloh aftershave and I am clean shaven and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.
SOTD July 8, 2019 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Schick Razor: Schick G1 Brush: JR #60 synthetic Soap: Soap Commander 13A▲ Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill aftershave Like yesterday I'm posting a little before shaving. My routine is way off in the summer but I do head back to work today. We start leadership training and rehearsals on Thursday so I'm going back in to get ready. I look forward to getting back in a routine but at the same time will miss being free to do whatever the day calls for. Oh well, that's life. This shave should be pretty automatic. The Soap Commander lathers beautifully and the G1 is my cornerstone injector. I'm sticking it out with this soap for this month and will hopefully finish it off or come close. Have a great day!
