Great shave and sorry about the car troubles. I had a 1989 C1500 with the 4.3 v-6 and I had to put two sets of heads gaskets on it. First set was at 30,000 miles, second set was around 90,000 miles. It left the house when the transmission went out at 160,000 miles.
I do not deserve to be surrounded by this greatness.............awesome shaves and reports gentlemen.
The Cartel has honored us Alabama boys with a special Soviet concert courtesy of the Leningrad Cowboys. The jet must have been having repairs or I am sure we would have been flown in to see the concert. Yes Alabama is loved worldwide!
Thank you, Gary. Yes, we were able to turn it into a bit of a holiday as my wife and kids were in Vancouver with me. I was in meetings Wednesday afternoon and evening, all day Thursday and then Friday morning, but they were able to do fun stuff without me for sure. We did Stanley Park/the Aquarium, the Museum of Anthropology at UBC and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (doing 'Empire Strikes Back', very cool!) as a family. They did Chinatown, Granville Island and the shopping districts downtown on their own. A great trip with no major hassles.
Thanks, Andrew. As you know, the replating gave this old 'beaut a new life for sure. I don't think I kept any 'before' pics of it, but I know there are a few at the start of the Cooper Razor Owners Club thread.
A very nice Menthol Monday! Sorry about the car, Jim. I'm envious of folks like you, Danny and @RyX who can do all the mechanical work yourselves. I'm pretty handy with house stuff- framing and finishing carpentry, electrical, plumbing etc., but my Industrial Mechanic father-in-law looks at me with pity when I try to deal with engines.
