Quite a mismatch today, using a Gold Monkey to test an edge off an Aiiwatani kiita that I use mostly as a knife finisher. The edge shaved fine but wasn’t quite as smooth as some other stones make, though maybe some clear water strokes may perk that edge up a bit. Cream was vintage AdP Colonia lathered with a Keyhole 3, and a splash of Myrsol Limon took care of the AS duties. A spritz of Colonia EdT finished up.
Iberia from Barcelona, Spain, 8/8. They were first made in the 1930's. I have seen very few online as opposed to Filarmonicas or even Palmera, though, so pretty rare. Made by the factory of Jose Bassat Jerusalmi, who was born in Bulgaria.

Shave #15 on the blue user-grade Filly 14 Sub Cero, still feels freshly honed. Soap was Martin de Candre rose lathered with a Keyhole 4 and a splash of Harris Pink finished things up. I am a smooth operator today.

6/8 Cape 800 Had a wonderful shave with this Japanese blade. The finely ground Swedish steel removed whiskers with little effort.

Gen 1 Filly 14 user grade, foolin’ around on the hones last night and think the heel needs a tiny bit more love as I could feel it cutting when using the heel to trim around the goatee. Otherwise, it’s a velvet squeegee. Soap was Cibe Uomo lavender, aka Razorock King Louis Lavender, lathered with a Simpsons 57. A splash of Myrsol AB finished up.
