  1. I love the old vettes, but the newer ones just drive so nice. Next time yours needs tires try a set of Bridgestones on it. I think you'll notice a difference in the way it handles. I was an auto technician for Firestone and got involved with some of the tire testing. The Bridgstones just have unbelievable grip when going in or out of a corner hard.

  2. My nephew gave me a bottle of Jeffersons along with a 5 pack of their "Wood Experiment" bourbons. Very nice. I do like a good Scotch. Lagavulin and Laphroaig to name a few. I hope your new house is bring you and your wife lots of pleasure, Charlie. "Keep on Blueming" ;)

  3. :signs002: That's a good question. Mike's is a no-nonsense, "right off the island" Bay Rum that pairs well with the Dominica. While the B&M is a scent that "sophisticates" the Bay Rum. Pirate vs. Commodore, if you will. Both soaps, as you probably know, are tallow-based and top-notch.
What's very important to me is that neither soaps burn my face, like Krampert's and Captain's Choice do.

  4. Great report, Joe. Piacenza is a perfect scent for an evening affair. I hope your honing goes well. Maybe you can give me some pointers.

  10. On his website it says the cost is $19.00, but when I added it to my cart, the price was $16.00. Plus, Mike uses EO, rather than fragrance oils, which are cheaper and tend to irritate the skin.

  11. Hi all
Sunday morning shave and wanted a different razor, so I chose my Parker 99 Long handle Heavy Weight for the job. I matched it up with the Sharp Star blades to see how it drives with them. Not having used this razor for some time, I did remember that it feels like a Gillette Fat Boy on 9, but with a longer handle. The long handle is nice because it seems that it balances out the weight of the head better when I shave the gord. So the face got the whole treatment, 3 full passes and a few touch ups for good form. One blade is all it took, not feeling as sharp as I'm used to with the Feather blades, but no pulling or tugging, great. Now onto the head shave, I started feeling some resistance about halfway through the first pass but I continued. Pinch! Ug! Got a spot on the back of the head, or so I thought. Taking time to replace blades I checked it a moment later. Just enough blood to tell it was scratched. Well, with the new blade installed the rest was smooth and clean. 2 passes and ready for the church. Don't ya hate it when ya know better, but...
Anyway, there it is. Hoping that I would get through without changing blades but that didn't happen.

My wife's sister has been joining us for a picnic since her husband passed after church. Today I got some pulled pork that finished cooking around 2 am with all the other goodies. We will have all the grandchildren too, that will be nice for her to see them.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.
    Enjoy
