    Hi Josh,
I thought the same - just bought it for fun. I really didn't know if I would like shaving with a DE sideways and wasn't sure I really understood the point, but figured it would be unique and something different to try. The head looks rather thick at the base for normal DE shaving. This morning was my first try with it and it was OK. It was fun shaving in a different way, but a bit awkward for my normal routine. I did cut myself and did not get as close as shave as I normally would. I much prefer either playing with my straight or just using a typical DE configuration. It did what I wanted it to, made shaving fun, but I would not want to use it regularly in this configuration. For me it is straight out a novelty. As such, I am not sure it is worth the purchase because I do not see me using it a lot, but it is something to break up the routine now and then. I have no ambition to continue using it to improve my technique with it. I have too many enjoyable razors to use on a regular basis to monkey with it. I will try the typical DE configuration tomorrow to see how it shaves, but expect it to be only OK because of the thick head. I am with you that I have too many razors already and just bought this because it was different enough to try the experience. If I wasn't into the hobby factor, I definitely would not have bought it. And from my experience with only one shave, I could not recommend it for anything but fun once in awhile. You will not get a better shave using it and it is not as comfortable as a good dedicated DE style razor IMO. The Lupo on the other hand looks great. The head design is a dead copy of the WR1 solid bar Wolfman, machined fantastic, and is a great price at $30. It is not as polished as my Wolfman razors, but I expect it will shave just like them. I have a Ti and SS Wolfman, so I thought this would be nice to have an Aluminum copy - possibly even great for travel at the price.

Shampoo - Paul Mitchell Lemon Sage Tea Tree
Bath Soap - Desert Essence "Lemongrass"
Bath Salt - Better Bath Better Body "Grapefruit & Geranium"
    Razor - Sterling Soap's Slant
    Blade - [IMG] *4th Shave
Shave Brush - 22mm "Synthia" Chrome Synthetic Nylon
    Chrome Razor/Brush Stand

Shaving Soap - Dr. Jon's "Lemongrass & Geranium"
Lather Bowl - Durance de Provence White Ceramic
    Aftershave - Dr. Jon's "Lemongrass & Geranium"
    Deodorant - Elegant Rose "Geranium"
    Fragrance - Creed "Vetiver Geranium"

***EDIT - 2 pass + minor clean up, mostly BBS. The Dr. Jon's shaving soap continues to prove to be among my best shaving soaps and IMO, as good as CK5 (not 'quite' CK6 level). I am really surprised that his soaps aren't among the most talked about. I typically only get Vegan soaps and IMO there is PAA then Dr. Jon's then Catie's Bubbles 'cream' formula then everything else takes some skill to load and get the water perfect in order to get top lather performance. There are certainly great vegetal soaps outside of those top-3, but I mean to say that those top-3 are extremely easy to get perfect results from without much of any effort or attention to water, etc.
