Basset the company that made Filomatic razors also made another injector which looks and probably shaves very similar to a Gillette twinjector. These were produced in the 60s and 70s and one the few razors still produced after Gillette took over Basset. The model was called an F2 and even came with twin injector blades. My understanding is Basset was first to market with twin injector blades beating Gillette, Schick, Personna, etc. Now was that for only the Spanish market or larger I don't know.

You can see here both are almost identical except for the handle and head angles and the Filomatic has a slightly flatter cap angle. You can see in the second picture which I got from a sale listing that the later packaging was almost identical to what was used for Gillette twinjectors. Filomatic is on the left in all pictures with both razors.

Another injector I had a blade loaded in I wanted to try for comparative purposes. This definitely feels sharper than an I 2 but doesn't shave more aggressive maybe due to how carefully I used it. Better shave than the I 2 but not my very best performing razors. It is right in there with the 2 and 3 spots. More practice it may take one of those spots. What I found really different about this razor is even though it is very sharp it has really good and accurate audible and feel feedback. I could hit all the hard to shave contours on the jaw with this using almost none of the blade and get the same feedback as if using the whole blade on the skin. This razor would make a great edger for goatees and such because of this.

Out both days this weekend and want good long lasting Shaves. I chose the Occams which despite its skeletal looks is
proving to be a good Razor for me, as it produces top quality shaves without any problems. I took a little longer over
the Shave today as I have a later start and the finish was superb. A friend who has this and the Vector rates the latter
as proving an easier and closer Shave- but this currently good enough for me.

    Jayaruh #375 Synthetic
    Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher
    Vintage Gem Cutlery SE

    Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #375 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Blade didn't feel as sharp but the shave sure did improve. I am not ready to call this my best razor on 2 shaves but if it keeps performing like this it is strong contender to knock the Clog Pruf peerless out of the the top spot. Even though this is a sharp blade/razor combo the head is so well designed you almost can't cut yourself if stay within what I think is the optimal angle. If it sounds like you are brushing your teeth the angle is correct. The feedback is so good I can almost cut single hairs with this razor. As much as I want to continue on this for the rest of the week I am going to see how far I can take the blade until it dulls out I have loaded in the Schick I2.

Because this Razor is quite light, I find I get best results by going slow on the initial clearance stages of a Shave. This helps one to concentrate on avoiding the use of pressure. With a fading blade the finished Shave was not bad at all.

This has been my set up for the last three days whilst staying at my sister's.
The H1 is ideal for travelling as it has its own blade cover.
The Eau De Cologne is in a plastic bottle, I prefer glass but when on public transport, plastic is the safer option.
All in all a thoroughly effective and enjoyable set up but I'll be glad to get back to my own bathroom.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Ingram Shave Cream
    Tom's 3D Printed Brush by @twhite
    Valet VC2
    Valet AutoStrop (26)

    Osage Rub

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Ingram Shave Cream face lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. I did two passes with the Valet VC2 razor with a Valet AutoStrop SE blade. It appears that this blade has lost its edge. I switched to my Enders Speed Shaver with a Schick Proline blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
