  1. Just July 2019

    July 15

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Super Speed
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
Soap - D.R. Harris Marlborough Shave Stick
Brush - Two Band Stirling Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Well that was certainly a day. Up early, off to Illinois with the van and a long ride home from a fellow Lyft driver after the diagnosis. Let's just say I'll be stopping at every corner as I drive to panhandle in order to pay off the repair a bit faster. OUCH!! I'm thinking if you have a Chrysler or Dodge built after the Fiat buyout, and it does anything strange at all that is tied to the electrical power system.......shoot it. Shoot it fast and twice. Put it out of its misery. The hospital bill is horrendous.

Rainy day as Barry made his way North to our area today. Not as hot as it's been but definitely wet and tropical feeling. One more day of that and then we're back to STL heat. Speaking of one more day I stayed with the same setup as the past two shaves to get the third shave on the blade. So, you have to suffer with a repeat of the picture from last night as I repeated it all. Nice three pass relaxing zen shave that helped drain some of the tension and pain of the day. Have a great Tuesday!!

  12. Congratulations on the first successful hone. Sharp makes a big difference, when it is sharp due to your hands, precious.

@Hembree Danny your parents are in my thoughts and prayers.

  17. Got up early because I have to be in the big city soon.
Used my newly aquried Gillette razor with the Nacet blades this morning. A very mild razor to say the least. Like most safety bar razors it clogs more than I like but rinsing cures that. Took 2 blades and 3 passes for the job. One blade for the face and 3 passes, one blade for the head and 3 passes. The blades never seemed to pull, the just stopped cutting. It was like the blade was missing. Mild razors seem to do that to me, weird. Anyway I have a good shave, no issues with the morning job. Need to dig out my Monobit for a test run with theses blades.
The Nacets have a promising outlook on sharpness.
    Thanks Gary!

  20. Terry, try shimming your razor and I think you'll get a better shave. It definitely made my Fat Handled Tech more aggressive. Stirling Barbershop is some awesome stuff.
