    Today I got the Ikon out again. TFS Tabacco Verde checks all the boxes for me: great lather, love the scent, and no hideous graphics. 3.5 passes with the Ikon for a close, easy, drama-free shave. I'm happy.

    Osita couldn't care less.

    Good afternoon guys!
    Straight Razor Shave #87
    Dovo Best Quality
    Semogue OC Super Badger
    Stirling Bay Rum SS and AS
    My badger produced a very nice face lather with the Stirling Bay Rum. I attacked my stubble with my 2nd honed Dovo Best Quality. I had to do 3 full passes and touchups. This blade is a half hollow and the audible is not as loud as a full hollow. I definitely improved the sharpness of this blade, but I feel it isn't as sharp as my Dovo Special. I think it is because I didn't allow my stubble to fully grow for 2 days. Yesterday's shave was so good that I really didn't have to shave today. Still, I attained a BBS shave with 2 tiny weepers, so the honing job on this razor was ok to good. I just will have to use this razor with 2 day growth and then reassess the honing job. A side note, I bought this razor new, so it wasn't shave ready and had to refresh the edge from the start. So, there are a couple of variables I need to consider with this razor. All in all, I am happy with the performance of this razor. So, I am 2 for 2 in honing razors using film. The next razors to be honed will be my vintage 5/8 Wostenholm and my vintage 5/8 W F Engel. I am not in a hurry to hone them because I have enough straights that I can use. Lol!
    Sorry, that I digressed. Back to my shave report. Topped this shave with Stirling Bay Rum aftershave. I just love the scent of this Bay Rum!

    Great report Joe. Even though the honing was not where you wanted in was still a awesome shave. Keep after the hone...........it will get there.
