Just July 2019 July 16 Razor - Muhle R41 Blade - (1) Soap - Tabac Brush - l*V 10 Hybrid Boar/Badger in Mesquite. Henceforth - the Moreau. Post - Alum It's Tabac Tuesday! That's one good thing I can say about today. Last remnants of Barry rained on us off and on and I waited a bit longer than expected to reclaim my newly updated (software and TIPM wise) van so I can try and make some money. Wrote the check for that repair and got things lined out to hit the road to try and make it pay off starting tomorrow. So having Tabac Tuesday was a good thing to take some of the pain out of the experience. Also the maiden voyage for the very unique brush I won in the raffle, courtesy of @Joewa . This beauty is really something to behold, and I was eager to find out what the AP Shaveco half badger/boar knot was like. I also decided it needed a name, as I sometimes do with my brushes. Considering it's a mixture of two rather distinct animals, I felt like Moreau would work. From the Island of........for those who remember that movie. (Bad acting, really not a good flick but still worthy of mention). I will say that the knot feels fantastic. It's very dense, chewed up the soap like a buzz saw, and has a very interesting feel of that great badger softness with the scritch and backbone of the boar. As easy to get a lather with as a synthetic and just a great new addition to my den. Two passes with the R41 and Sharp Star with that lather has me handled for the next 24 hours. I'm ready to hit it again and take my sunburned butt out into the real world again. Have a great Wednesday!
