Morning all I have some Nacet blades to try out and working my way through some of my not loved enough Gillette razors. This morning was a razor I can't remember ever using. I am under the impression that it's a Black Red 34-39 model. Anyway the face was given a 3 pass with some touch up, the head shave was the same but I did change out the blade after the mug was done. This razor is not as mild as yesterday's so it is a tad bit closer. The blades just quit on me when they dull out, strange. Now the Captain's Choice Bay Rum shaving soap works OK for the most part if you spend time whipping up lather. It makes foam quick but takes more time than I'm used to to get the lather worked up. The after shave kinda matches the soap and has a nice finish. This took more time than usual because of 3 passes and getting the soap going but a great shave was had. The blades are different than I'm used to but in a good way, glad I got the 100 pack. To all Enjoy tp
SOTD July 17, 2019 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Schick Razor: Schick H1 Brush: JR #41 badger Soap: Soap Commander 13A▲ Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Deep Blue Sea aftershave A couple of weepers along the chin line but otherwise a nice shave. The Hussy worked quite well. I guess I lost the angle going around the curve of the chin resulting in the weepers. Wonderful lather as expected and some nice scent from the Deep Blue Sea finish. Enjoy your day!
Great looking shave Jason. The Clubman stench in the sink might still be there when you return from vacation. Have a great vacation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice setup and photo, Jason! You've definitely earned some time off. Hope it's relaxing and rejuvenating.
Great photo, Jim! I haven't tried any A&E stuff yet. I like leather scents so I'll watch out for this one.
Great shave and photo Perry. Watch the heat and sun during band practice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
