hello fello shavers,thursday shave.a little adventurous today so i blew the dust off my canadian old type with the laurel handle.gsb blade..face lathered the razorock xxx duro formula soap with the razorock chrome silvertip synthetic brush..took my time and got a fantastic 2 pass dfs+ shave,no drama just smooth..have a fine friday everyone..

Today, I decided to go with the ball-end tech. Reliable, drama-free tech. Soap was Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn. Decent scent, a little on the light side. Ourstanding slickness. I think I'll have to get it back out this weekend and try it with a straight. Yeah, that kind of slick. Tomorrow I'll have another go at the 1914.
Thanks Terry, it will be interesting to see if a polished Karve plate shaves smoother than a non polished one.
Just July 2019 July 18 Razor - Muhle R41 Blade - (3) Soap - Stirling Barbershop Brush - 30DC Meet UP LE 2019 Post - Alum One more shave on the R41 with Sharp Star. It's "That'll do Thursday" and Stirling Barbershop definitely does the trick. The meet up brush made an easy and luxurious lather out of the soap and gave a cushy and slick track for the big razor to work on. Two passes and some touch up and it's a near-BBS and that's close enough. I'm trying to run through things a bit early tonight as I have an early appointment in the morning. As in 5:45 early which, for me, is completely out of character. Told you the guy I work for is a slave driver. It's hot in the Lou! But it's hot in a lot of places so enough of that. Have a great Friday and plan on finding something cool to do for the weekend!
