Thanks, Rick! Country Club closed a while back. Well, he rebranded into a company called Yak Outfitters. He doesn't make aftershaves anymore. His Country Club shave soaps were terrific quality. These aftershaves are pretty straightforward. Not many skin goodies. Alcohol, fragrance, menthol, water......just the basics. The Sweet Water scent is based on Acqua Di Gio. I also have the Modern Fougere splash in a full bottle. It's a nice scent. I'm surprised you found some more bottles for sale. He hasn't made the splashes in that bottle in quite a while. He changed labels and took out all the dyes and was making splashes and soaps and then stopped suddenly. I got a bottle of Modern Fougere and two or three samples of the Sweet Water. I sent one to @Linuxguile, so maybe he can chime in as well. I don't think you could go wrong with one of those splashes if you wanted to buy one and try it out. I tried 1837 once and didn't like the scent. Smelled old and musty. Modern Fougere and Sweet Water are both recommendations.
July 18th Razorock Blackhawk V2 w Feather Pro Simpsons CH2 Synthetic Fine Platinum Combo Thayers First shave since Tuesday. This splash is new, bought it to match the nice soap. Had a good 3 pass shave, but the blade is done in this razor. I like this shaver, but I do think I’m going to add some weight to the handle at some point. Have a great night, all!
More curious than anything. I would be excited to drive one though. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Great shave, Neal! Tomorrow it will be mid 90's and Saturday it will be 98 in NY. St. Loo weather is coming my way!
It will interesting down the road to see what kind of problems they have. I hope it does not overheat like the C7.
Nice shave Jason, think the handle is hollow, and the bottom comes off. I like the weight of the razor, but I shave my head. tp
