A refresh of this Russkie on the Arkie left it incredibly sharp. What a difference that made. I got a little fast and easy with it as it was moving so easily through the stubble. Whoops, a little too fast and easy and it bit me twice in the same place. :shocked003: Otherwise, a fantastic shave. :happy036:

Yesterday's shave: unlike @Billyfergie who was using aircraft technology of the day, I was using ox and barrow technology of ancient China.... lol, a fistful of Dollars! This was an edge test comparing two hones, details in the honing thread. When testing stones, it pays to have a flat stone and flat, well developed bevels, both razors shaved very well and so I’m going to have to investigate clear water finishing on them.

Soap was AoS tallow lavender lathered with a Simpsons 57, and a splash of Myrsol finished up a very good shave indeed!

Today’s shave: Shave #17 on the blue Sub Cero, no detectable loss of smoothness. Cream was AdP and a splash of Myrsol Limon was perfect for a hot day.

Here’s another angle for your viewing pleasure. I call mine the Nordic Queen. She’s a beauty and shaves like a dream... :happy093:

The bottom of the handle has an opening to insert an attachment to hold the blade for stropping or refreshing. :happy088:

    Cold Water Rinse
    CTAPT Shaving Cream
    Tom's 3D Printed Brush
    Wilbert "Acme" 5/8
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Blue Ice AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The CTAPT Shaving Cream face lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. I did two passes with the Wilbert "Acme" 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Blue Ice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Filarmonica Doble Temple 14

Saw an interesting 14 sell last night...
“ROMO” with the horizontal 14 on the tang (Mitchell Mogal, Inc. on the coffin). But the blade face had your 2nd Gen Filly design with “Filarmonica” on one side of lyre and “Doble Temple” on the other. It was a very beautiful razor.

Gotta love those Fillys - nice choice of soap too!

Manaslu M100, cream was SMN lathered with a Keyhole 3, and a splash of Agua Balsamica finished things up.
