    My lather didn't end up as slick as yesterday, not sure which way I need to adjust it. The boar brush also has a harder time painting it on for the 2nd pass than the synth did. Still got a close comfortable shave.

    As for Stoylin, I have 4 soaps(all nearly full) and a portion of a 5th, and 4 aftershaves.....can't think that far ahead, although of course there's the Tony Awards.

    Awesome shave Charlie. Our old movie house closed and was replaced by a new fancy one with 4x the price to see a show. A couple years ago someone bought it and restored it to its former glory and now they feature live performances and now and again run an old film.

    The boar bristles are coarser than the synthetic thus giving you trouble on the second pass . I have the same boar as you and find it also prefers harder soaps . It will improve the more it breaks in and softens the tips. Great shave btw!

    July 19, 2019- Fatboy Friday

    Razor: F5 Gillette 195 Adjustable (5)
    Blade: X3 Gillette Spoiler
    Brush: Razorrock Plissoft 22
    Soap: Cup o' Random Soap Bits
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

    It's Friday and, for the first time in a bit, I'm doing a Friday Fatboy shave. The razor du jour is an F4 Fatboy which was a generous gift from @cliffb599. This one came to me with a stuck adjustor as a possible parts razor for a bent G2 that I recently pick up. Instead, I was able to able to free up the adjustor and this is my first time taking it for a spin.

    As for the shave... In short, the Fatboy performed as well as any and the result was everything I would have expected. The result was a very nice near-BBS with no issues or irritation.

    For the first year or so after I started this journey in Sept. 2015, I despaired of ever having a Fatboy, given the prices they were commanding. My first and, until recently, only one was the result of a very generous trade with @RyX (L). Now, I seem to be having something of an embarrassment of riches with two in good user condition and a self-repaired G2 (not pictured here) which I've yet to try. Interesting times...

    Very nice shave John. Found 2 which I believe are flare tips in the antique shop but they were asking $25 each. I may offer 25 for the pair.

    It is a quite broken-in brush already, I thought. Haven't had this issue with other soaps (though it always hogs lather more than my synthetic). Possibly didn't soak long enough.
