    Friday SOTD

Another wonderful Schick Type C Repeating Razor shave today, but used the newly acquired DG Sellout soap. Superb scent! I'll have to see what the wife thinks about it . I'm smooth and ready to drive to my twin brother's house in MD for an awesome show tonight. Enjoy your Fridays everyone!

3E09F058-3C17-40F5-8F78-E2189AF34D96.jpeg Well the battle of the slants continues and today I wanted to see just how the Merkur 37C would do against the iKon X3. The X3 provided two very smooth shaves right out the gate and was quite impressive. Loaded up with the same Super-Max Blue Diamond as the X3 and off we went.

Today’s soap of the day was Fine Italian Citrus and man do I love this soap. Great performer and the scent is wonderful. It lasts forever and I don’t believe there has ever been a time when it didn’t just lather bomb at load up. Synthetic, Badger or Boar have no issues with this soap. Today’s brush Wild West Brushworks - “Elway” with a 26mm Tuxedo knot. Pics don’t do it justice.

Wonderful two pass shave today and as with the X3 it was WTG and ATG. Smooth but not quite as smooth as the X3. Next up will be the Sledgehammer 39C.

It’s Friday! The week draws to a close and my your BBQs be hot and your Brews ice cold! Happy shaves all!

A refresh of this Russkie on the Arkie left it incredibly sharp. What a difference that made. I got a little fast and easy with it as it was moving so easily through the stubble. Whoops, a little too fast and easy and it bit me twice in the same place. :shocked003: Otherwise, a fantastic shave. :happy036:

Sweet razor. Hadn't seen one of those Schicks before. Does it shave like a Type B or C??

    Thanks Douglas!

The Wilkinson Sword stick must be one of the best sticks available. I bought the Merkur 45 a few years ago and wasn't very impressed. A few years on.....with a lot more shaves under my belt (not literally) I find it an incredibly efficient razor and an absolute delight to use.
