July Not everyone's Favorites Shave Tabac Original SS B-400 WD HM badger Suribachi & cool water Univinlions kamishavette Feather AC Pro blade '59 Fat Boy on nine Gillette Silver Blue Pinaud Clubman AS lotion Afternoon shave, evening report. Spent most of my day doing for others but I did work in a shave moment for myself. For anyone down wind the scent of Tabac was wafted skyward with the help of a Whipped Dog High Mountain badger knot. Clint @clint64 was so kind as to send the knot my way. I assume he's moved on and up to better knots, but it's top shelf to me. Never drops a hair and since it's set about as deep as I could it's performance equals or exceeds other badgers in my den. Didn't have time to bluem so I loaded twice for plenty of lather. Spur of the moment choice to do a WTG 1st pass with the open blade. Followed up with 2-1/2 more passes utilizing the Gillette on Max. Still had a little stubble on the lower neck, but no nicks or irritation. The AS poured freely thanks to the soy sauce bottle restrictor. More glorious stank for my downwind friends. Soon as I finished the shave it was time to get dad's lawn tractor unstuck from the mud hole. Mom rewarded me with a home cooked cheeseburger, carbs intact, pickles on the side. Made it back home before dark & all's right in my world. Good Shaves Y'all!
Great shave this morning gents. 2 pass face, change blade, 2 pass head. The brush is not what I'm used to, but gave a fantastic rich lather from the Tobac. Had to work it longer than normal, but after a little time things were slick and lathery. OK, now the Clubman Pinaid, nice, and after more than 12 hours, I can still smell it. Boy it hangs on, and on. The razor and blade combo was great. To all enjoy tp
Just July 2019 July 19 Razor - Gillette New LC Delta Echo Edition Blade - (1) Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum It's Fat Friday!! And a long day it was. The picture tonight is a bit blurred due to my inability to hold a phone totally still. A bit tired after such an early start I guess, so you'll just have to see through the blurriness to see the brilliance of a very fine razor. I went to Voskhod for a great pairing and, of course, in honor of Fat Friday, the MWF is the soap of the day. The JR 54 brush is still one of my favorites from @Jayaruh and it was appropriate to use it since he just passed 22,000 posts on TSD. Talkative guy and he makes some fantastic brushes. This one turned the Fat into a fine lather that proved why it's in my top two. I do think I've finally settled the battle in my head for the best soap in my collection. Sheep one, Fat two. And thus it shall be, at least until something else makes me rethink it. Three slow and relaxing passes to the BBS and the alum was quiet and I feel much better after a day in the heat. Even with A/C in the car I felt like a roast in the oven throughout parts of the day. Wondering if Uber/Lyft have any jobs in Siberia for the summer? Time to hit Google. Have a great Saturday and weekend!
Ya know Bill, the more I look at that picture, the more I wonder... Is that your part time job?? I think you'd fit right in at the wiggly. You could keep the boys in isle 12 in line. tp
