Hey Danny It can be tough, what you're going through. Do the best you can and take care of yourself. Try to get some rest and make sure you eat right. No matter what happens or what direction it goes, just do the best you can. Lotsa people will have lotsa advice, but they're not in your shoes. They don't know your mom and dad like you do. Yea first ya think, these razor blades are cheap, then after you've bought razor number 95 or 96. Then oh man that straight razor looks cool... then 10 or 12 of them.... It's a good thing I didn't get into this to save money. tp
July 21 Good evening, guys! Straight Razor Shave #90 Böker King Cutter Razorock XX Omega Pro 49 Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue I decided to try the Razorock soaps once again and shaving with a straight razor. I know that I said that I would only use this soap when shaving with a safety I guess there is a part in me to never quit so I went for it. I bloomed the soap and used the water as a preshave. I really loaded the brush to make sure that I am going to get a nice lather than my previous attempts. I scoooped out the lather remnants in the container and put it on my face as another form of preshave. I finally got a decent lather with the right amount of water. I did my usual 2.5 passes with a little touchup for a nice IBSS. The Böker is getting to the point where I will have to Crox it soon. Finished with a nice cooling Aqua Velva ASFor the rest of the month, I will only be using my Dovo Shavette because I am 5 shaves behind my traditional straights. I need 15 shavette shaves and 10 traditional straight shaves to reach 100 shaves for each type of shave. Wow! I can't believe I have 175 straight shaves in the books. it seems we all get a little more than just shaving advice here at the 30..glad you are all part of it.. dim witted or otherwise..and i am glad to be part of your craziness as well..for good or bad we are .... the crew..
Oh, and the stuff to sharpen straights. I don't even want to calculate how many razors I could have sent out for what I spent. And.... I still can't get an edge like somebody else can give me for $25 and shipping. And..... I have not even thought about naturals. Every time I need an adjustment I pick up the Focus shavette....... .... nah, didn't keep me from having to have this frenchie... The good news is that we can take them with us.... Our wives will be glad to throw the sharps in the casket with us....... .......... Well, except for the ones that need the U-haul model.
