It's a bottom fact that this soap is a top performer. The lather is a real lally-cooler! I noticed mint and a warmer wood note in the scent. I didn't feel much cold until the second pass, and it built up and lingered from there without bothering my eyes. This is not a super cold soap, but an excellent one for those who usually avoid menthol. The splash really extends the chill, longer than other menthols for me, in a very pleasant way. It is no thumper to assert that this set is some pumpkins!

When you asked me about it last time, you must have missed my reply Alfredo:

    "Is this soap actually produced?
I saw some in a porcelain bowl, but Salter seemed not to know anything about it!"

Yeah and very good it is too.
I can't remember where I bought it, Connaughts rings a bell.
Here it is on Salter's website.

    P.S. @AlfredoT, Yep, Connaughts.

    Speedway Open Comb Razor
    Israeli Personna Stainless Blade
    Semogue Excelsior Boar Brush
    Proraso Green/LMS Spearmint Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel w/Orange
Aqua Velva Ice Blue After Shave

I like using these blades because besides being as sharp as Lab Blues, they feel much smoother. The razor is an almost exact clone of a Gillette Old Type with one minor difference. A side by side comparison of the head reveals that everything is the same, with the exception of the bottom plate being very slightly thicker, but it doesn't affect the shave. I also like the handle better than an Old Type because it is heavier, and I personally like that. Two passes with a little touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

Doug, I still have two aftershaves from the TSD store-regular Bay Rum, and regular Russian Leather. The Leather is pretty close to the end, but a lot left on the BR.

Perfect shave, baby caught. Three passes of perfection. Mango lime smells like a mango with lime juice squeezed on it. The futur on 5 is as high as I've cranked it, blade feel the whole way, and sings beautifully. Finished with my favorite of late, lime sec.
All common items, so no pic.
Hope y'all did as well, or better.

    WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Olivier Creed
    [IMG]

Shampoo - Paul Mitchell Lemon Sage Tea Tree
Bath Soap - Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Lemon Verbena Bar Soap
    [IMG]
    Razor - DaveOcean33 "Atlas"
    Blade - [IMG] *5th Shave
Shave Brush - Gentleman's Hangar Synthetic
Shave Stand by Robert Evans on Etsy. Must request custom project to order.
Shave Soap - Mama Bear's "Bounty"
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Aftershave - Country Club for Men "1837"
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Mysterium Serum
Deodorant - Ooh La Active Organics "Lemon-Mint"
    Fragrance - Creed Royal Water

I'm considering using the chill mill to give this shave a bit of refreshment.

***EDIT - 2 passes + clean up. BBS. Zero irritation. Pretty much on the edge of "too close", so I will need to take it easy on tomorrow's shave. One of the best shaves of the year. I used the Chill Mill to give a nice cooling. I chose not to use the pre-shave oil until the clean up pass. The Mama Bear soap is great stuff when the water use is light and it's allowed to be rich and creamy. My general rule is to use only the water needed even though the soap can appear to take lots of water, it performs best when the water use is reserved. The scent of this soap is amazing. I will soon have a full set of Mama Bear products for this Royal Water shaving set (including shampoo, bath soap and eventually deodorant). I think the Bounty scent that is used is a spot-on match for the Creed Royal Water fragrance. So, I will have two different sets of products for this shaving set.

Thank you, Joseph! Boots is a drug store chain in the UK. The shave stick is pretty good. It lathers very easily, and the lather itself is slick and protective. The scent is a light, powdery scent to my nose. The Bay Rum is fairly typical, and also fairly light.
