the handle comes in the 1953 canadian military tech set.a fluted handle similar to the british war tech sets but solid.. very well balanced with all the gillette 3 piece razor heads..quite rare..
side by side they are near identical- middle one is the early brit war tech version that is hollow.. 1953 y-4 canadian military tech set..
After a few days with some vintage Gillette safety bar razors, I went back to open comb. And I must say the safety bar experiment reinforced my preference for open comb.
