  1. Eigth or ten lanes either side of the center divider & full house every day of the week guaranteed from sunrise to sunset. That's one of the things I don't miss about the ATL.
  2. There's a tennis tournament going in in Atlanta too this week(US Open Series), which no doubt adds to the traffic.

  3. Cased has never been a requirement for me. Very much the exception since most of my gear is flea market or thrift store finds. I got a case when my 'Crat arrived but never researched to see if it was "correct". A Schick type M came in a case from TSD raffle couple years ago. Stahley came in a nice clear plastic correct, but not fancy Deluxe style case.

Most recent acquisition was a sliver, chrome, or nickel finished Gillette box is very good shape. Gary @brit or Jim @jimjo1031 probably know what it's for without having to view a dozen websites. The lid doesn't want to close on the '34 Deluxe, but it seems to fit a Single Ring well.

  6. That was kind of you Charlie. A nicer choice than the J.R. Egyptian math meme.

    WK Fougère Bouquet SS
    Vulfix 2006C Pure Badger
    Merkur Progress DE
    Gillette Wilkinson Sword
    WK Fougère Bouquet AS

Mid afternoon shave today. Up very early, working and only stopped for lunch. Stayed at it a couple more hours, and finally took a mid afternoon break to shower and shave. The joy of working from home. Today’s shave features the Merkur Progress DE and Vulfix 'Old Original' Pure Badger brush won from TSD’s Father’s Day raffle last month. The Wholly Kaw Fougère Bouquet is also special, as it's my first purchase from a fellow TSD member @BaylorGator, and remains one of my top 3 favorite aromas and soap artisans.

3 passes to an awesome DFS+ shave. No PS today (forgot, oops). Wonderfully smooth and rich lather, a bit scritchy ends on the Vulfix kind of evened it out, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless. The Merkur Progress is a definite winner...actually had wanted one, so it's a joy to get it through the TSD raffle. I originally (back in Jan) purchased a Merkur Futur, the big brother to the Progress....but ended up returning the Futur as the handle is scary slick. The Progress is easily it's equal, save for the confusing infinite adjustability (why'd they put numbers on it in the first place....there's no start/stop points). I just twisted it to the widest setting that kept the blade firmly in place. With that setup, it's a HUGE gap, and lots of blade exposure (easily matching my Blackland Dart). Did the 'ol 'Ride the Cap' technique and the GWS did it's thing. Finished off with the matching WK AS. No feedback at all. Smooth and refreshed now.

Hope everyone has had a great day so far, and continues to for the rest of it!

  13. At least someone else will drive, or you'll be walking, once you're in Europe. I bet you have some good flight options out of ATL. Safe travels, Clint, and have a bag of peanuts and an extra liquid refreshment for me on the flight over.

  15. I'm going with a Single Ring (Standard) set. There are variations with the logo, so it's what I'm going with.

  17. Traffic in Atlanta is bad all the time and only gets worse during rush hour. I don’t drive into the city but suburbs are just as bad.

  20. Thank you Charlie. We do have very good flight options out of ATL. Maya was kind enough to drop me off at the airport. I’m flying out of the new international terminal which made it easier to clear security.

Give the restaurant next to the gate liquid refreshments might start very soon.
