  1. Just July 2019

    July 25

Razor - Gillette New SC Deluxe
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Island Man
    Brush - 30DC LE
    Post - Alum

Third and final shave for Matthew and the Rapira. It's "That'll Do Thursday" and I went with Stirling Island Man. This is a soap Rod @ezlovan only makes for the Summertime, so I figured July works! I also got a sample of this scent in the bath soap in my recent box so I was thinking of it. Quite an enjoyable scent and it is Stirling so.......yep. Can't beat the lather. The original 30DC LE brush had no issues with the Tuxedo knot in turning the soap into enough lather to wash the van twice since it's back on all four wheels again. It better be. It has a date at 5 a.m. in the morning to go to work.

All of my test results are back from the doctor and apparently I'm still breathing, have a heartbeat and blood to push through it. Still have way too much fat in said blood and too much sugar too but we're working on that. I start a new med tomorrow that we hope will solve the sugar problem. I mean, I know I'm a sweet guy and all, but apparently I need to lose some of that. Anyway, hope you have a great Friday and a fantastic start to your weekend!

  2. Great shave Neal and glad the results are good. You will get the sugar thang handled too, just like a new razor. ...... you will have to get in dialed in. Take care.

  4. Well explained Jason. Our province is made up of alot of French Acadians whom were treated not so nicely by the British. We have a community named Burnt Church named aptly for that reason. As the British burned villages to drive the French out they were met by French and Native Indians who fought them back until they retreated . Some wild history in these parts. Its very interesting to read the story of how Canada became a country.
  5. nice shave sir..

  6. Sorry I've been AWOL last few days . Working on a friend's house to ready it for them to move in before September. Burning the candle at both ends last few days but will check in on the weekend. Take care guys .
  7. Rocky got a new playmate in the den today. It is another 6S set. It actually came into work yesterday and was waiting in my chair when I came into work this morning. I got a real good deal on this set. It was listed as an open box 6C set but the pictures and box told me otherwise. I could not turn it down for a little under half price of a new 6S set. So you may ask, what does Danny need with another 6S? One word. ...... polish! That is right. When I get a little time this weekend I'll get started. I just do not know whether to polish my first set or the new set. My original set seems to be a lighter in color than the new set. I'll keep everyone updated with pictures.

I hear that. I saw someone quoting Blair's @b1hart SOTD, but had no recollection of reading his post. Had to go back a couple of pages to find it. Then I got to the bottom of the post and it all made sense.
  9. Thank you, Jim!

  10. There is a listing on E-bay for a lot of two Oneblade synthetic shaving brushes for $12.50. I ordered a set and they arrived quick. I don't think you will find a better brush for $6.25 each including shipping. I have had one in the den for a while and I really enjoy it. Got two more for extras and to give away.
