July Focus Baume.be~~Simpson 2 "Chubby"~~Dovo 91~~Myrsol Emulsion Such a beautiful evening last night. Had all of the windows open, glorious. *********UNTIL********* 5:30 am, I wake to the gut-wrenching; nose-hair burning stench of SKUNK!!! The ENTIRE house (30 windows) reeks!!! Move to close all windows, turn on the AC/fans/light candles, etc. It's now 10:00 and finally the downstairs is clear. I can still get a faint whiff upstairs. On the other hand, I had a terrific shave. The Baume.be is a magnificent product. A little pricey, but you get a huge jar and a little goes a long way. Here's a lather shot: Took the Dovo to the Shapton 16K before the shave, followed up on a CrOx Linen strop and finished with 40 laps on my SRD 3" leather strop. Results were buttery-smooth. Very pleased with the shave. No nicks, cuts nor weepers. DFS+++ (I always have a couple of patches on my neck that I can't get smooth with a straight. I can get them clean with a DE, but I am not pushing the envelope) Alum was silent. Thayer's was "medicated" and finally, the Myrsol Emulsion left my face well-hydrated. Finished with a dab or two of some Patchouli EO. Have a great day!
July 27 Good morning guys! Dovo Shavette Shave #89 Personna Headshaper Blade (7) Rocky Synthetic Brush Sirling Coconut Lime SS and AS Facelathered with Rocky giving the usual sterling results. Did my normal amount of passes to a comfortable, irritation free, with tiny weep, for a BBS shave. Luckily, you guys weren't around when I was singing, "Put on a Happy Face" Lol! It's a great start today. Going to the gym for some cardio and then this afternoon going to a BBQ. To my Southern friends, I know it's a cookout. Anyway, you guys have a great day!
Marvelous shave, Joseph! Being from Long Island, I have never encountered a skunk or their volatile, malodorous scent. I would suggest baking something with cinnamon to get rid of the smell.
Keith, your shaves, gears and pics are always first-rate! I also can get too aggressive when I shave. Now, I just take my time and enjoy the glides.
