Nice shave, cool brush. Got the balsa and diamond past, will get the glass cut in the next week or so. First I've heard of someone using it here. Hope it works out for me. tp
July 28th Razor: Case Red Imp Blade: 132 (wedge) Brush: Grizzly Bay MaxFury Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: Stirling Spice PAA Galactic witch hazel PAA unscented Star Jelly AS: Stirling Spice Sample Sunday Good morning! My first shave with a traditional straight razor. Two passes with touch up. I resisted the urge to finish up with one of my other razors. No blood, very little feedback from the alum. I still have some sandpapery spots due to the fact that there are some directions I didn't feel comfortable going. A somewhat successful outing. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I like your story but. "cute little things....." Realy Bill?? Maybe in the cartoons, but not here in the woods. Thats some gloriously horrible stink, to say the least. I'm able to ignore it nowadays, wasn't always that way. If by chance you or anyone else needs to give their K9 a tomato juice bath, just remember to dress in clothing that you can toss when the job is done, wearing a shower cap isn't a bad ideal either. Every thing will go fine during the scrubbing, till then end, when your 4 legged friend shakes it off. Just saying tp
Congrats Jim That's fantastic, I'm on that path too, using a Focus shavette. Your scales and brush have a classic appearance, great going. tp
Straight n slant Sunday here. Using the same set up except for the safety razor, things are going ok. Did 2 passes with the Focus shavette and some touch up. The shave wasn't the best ever, had to do a clean up with the Phoenix Open Comb slant, it is the best shave yet with an open blade. Got a slight burn on the left chin area, using the slant, well. The head shave with the slant was smooth, cleanand issue free. A nice shave before loading the grandkids up for church. Doing some "mad sientist" work here. Mixed up some menthol crystals with some Clear Water 151, couldn't find any 190. But so far it seems to have made a solution that's not over saturated. Will try it.... Monday! to all Enjoy tp
Very nice Perry. Things shaping up for the marching season? Thanks Terry! It is 'Wild West Brushworks'. With the 2 band badger knot they used, it is quite dense and I'm still learning it....easy to overload with soft creams. Nice image Mark. Love the clean effects....and that brush. Great Boar. Always nice Keith! I'm sure you'll figure out the Sheffield steel honing.
Nice Robert. Cool brush handle. Very unique. Awesome Ford hardware! So....did y'all go for burgers or buffet? Nice shave Clint. Great image!
A great first straight shave, and another awesome image. Love the scales. Here's to many more awesome straight razor shaves Jim
