I went on a 3 hr river ride, down the Poudre River, near Ft. Collins, Colorado. Class 3-4+. Several people got dumped. My youngest daughter dumped me half way out, over some hairy rapids. It threw her, and she hit me, as we were leaning, which caused me to fall backwards, half out. I was pulled back up, immediately. Pretty good experience.
Getting out for anything today qualifies as pretty manly, given that it’s 98 degrees out & I have asthma. I went outside to water the plants.
Rebuilt the porch roof. The roofers wanted a small fortune to repair the structure, in addition to the big fortune they're already charging to reroof the house. Took me all weekend and used up a vacation day on Monday as well, but saved several thousand dollars. Nearly done.
Drove my wife to the hospital for the birth of our first child. Mom and baby are doing well so far. Now we play the waiting game.
Boy! Name is a family name, went with Austin Patrick. Austin after an uncle of mine that used to take me up in his crop duster airplane, and Patrick since in my family we pass down middle names.
Getting closer now. She is still hurting so they are monitoring her blood pressure and baby heart rate with her pain meds. May be any time now.
I wish you all well. I trust you will let us know later though I imagine she needs your full attention now.
Replaced the passenger side window regulator in my car. It's an older BMW and I really like it, but this thing eats window regulators for lunch.
