Well, I'll look forward to working with it. I guess I did have a couple shaves with it before it got hot here, but there will be much more action during the loooong winters(and late autumns before that). Meantime, I hope to achieve more "suds" with the SDM cake. Guess you need to press in to that type of soap more than that in a puck. Course I could be wrong.

    Uh, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

We're progressing right along with the 2020 Stoylin Tony Awards. 3 nomination days in, 2 to go. With these new surprises from Doc Ezlovan(the bodywashes&the return of Haverford), this second year continues to be a real challenge for the staff(i.e. ME). We're just approaching the halfway mark between the 3rd and 4th day. I predict an exiciting finish!

I think that's going to be my first bodywash, as I have a barbershop shave soap and a good amount of Clubman Original A.S.

    OK guys.....

We need some reviews on those new liquid soaps!

There are impatient inquiring minds with demands to be met!

    Nice acquisitions!

What is the scent of Stirling Sheep shave soap? I tried Scots Pine Sheep and really enjoyed the mutton base but didn't care for the scent.

There is no added fragrance, a slight animal fat smell is able to be detected, a little more so than beef tallow. Nothing that I find lingering.

If the scented sheep tallow shave soaps Scots Pine is my fave. I can use Electric Sheep even though I'm not a citronella fan.

Monday's weather is supposed to be "less humid". I love "less humid". Might celebrate with Sandpiper(as a test for this kind of weather in the summer). Or Blood on Steel, since it was such a hit at the Meetup(during the summer).

I have Scots Pine for a sample A.S. Might be time soon to open that one for another test for a "less humid" summer day(see #8823).

Interesting, Rod uses a very wet brush when lathering his soap:

Really learned a lot from this. I do think I've been pushing down too much, but here's the thing-I must not be aware of it as I do it..as opposed to JAMMING it down(when I would be aware). Tips from now on. And as for water, I just keep the tap running, but maybe I need to give that more time than I have been. And I shake off "excess: water...perhaps not necessary, eh? Nice work, Rod.

That’s a great video. Stirling soaps can take tons of water. Whether at the beginning, while lathering, dipping the tips, etc., Stirling can take about as much as you throw at it.

I haven't shaved with Sandpiper(or any of my cold-weather Stoylin soaps)since..well, when the weather was cold(yuk yuk). But they still look like I just shaved with them yesterday. I'm most impressed with that. I did give it a light blooming anyway though, just now, since I hope to use it Monday.
