I finished up my July focus today. It will be hard putting this gear away, as I've enjoyed some fantastic two-pass shaves over the past month. Tomorrow I'll bring out a birth quarter Slim, a tuck of Feathers, and my Kent BK8 silvertip brush. I'll continue to work through a tub of C.O. Bigelow and a bottomless bottle (pit ) of Clubman.

I've got watch fever now that @NCoxSTL decided to take the plunge. I don't want to steal his thunder, so I'll stay away from timepieces featuring Russian military hardware on the dial. This model is currently on the radar, but I'm still looking. I enjoy looking and researching the different models most of all, so I expect this process to take awhile. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if I caught one on sale, or if the USD/JPY currency conversion becomes more favorable. In the meantime, anyone know where I can register for a Japanese language class so that I'll know what day it is?

We're meeting some good friends today at a Fish Fry at local Masonic lodge. I weigh just a tad below my target for the first time (199 lbs.), so I won't be watching the calories too closely today. My lunch will look something like this:

It appears that these folks have been doing this for awhile. After completing a 100-year focus, I think they have it down. They serve every Saturday from March through November. It's one of our favorite places to eat in Louisville. We've been going since the 80s...back when I still had my hair and my sense of humor.
