Thank you and yes.....maybe the lesson of this is-One pass will suffice. Sometimes I wonder about that, but there's so much soap left on the brush after the first pass, I always hate to waste it.
Unfortunately, I need 2.5 passes and touchups with my straights and 3 passes with my safeties. I don't see how anyone can get a decent shave with one pass unless they have a light stubble or shave 2x a day.
I always use just the one pass with creams/foams from the can. Seems to work fine. But yes....with soaps I guess we'd need 2 at least.
That SC was a great razor, both in shave and looks. Glad you are getting some great shaves with it, Clint!
August 4 SOTD: Razor: Parker Variant Blade: Gillette Nacet Brush: PAA Starcraft Lather: PAA Black Bot Aftershave: PAA Black Bot My next adjustable on the rotation is the Variant. This really is a nice razor, but doesn't see much action for whatever reason. Two passes and DFS. The Black Bot scent is a nice way to start a Sunday. We are off to church shortly, then I am taking my oldest daughter and my son to meet up with my parents at the half way point to their house. They get to spend the week with my parents, so it will be a quite week for us around the house. I hope everyone has a great day!
Thanks, Clint. Look on ebay. Do NOT pay retail. Thanks, Joe. You, too! Sure. RRXXX AS is a dupe of AdP. Look at all of the Stirling splashes. 99% are dupes (copies) of originals. Thank you, Jimbo. Great shave, Danny.
I feel ashamed now......the first time I saw the list of Fine aftershaves, I frowned, thinking "These fellas are copying scents from more famous products!". That was THEN, this is NOW, when many artisan shave companies have done just that. Boy, did I learn a lot!!!
Over-bloomed because they don't come out as "drops"....more like frozen water itself. I must be doing something wrong.

Nothing to be ashamed about, Paul. Look at it this way, I appreciate the fact that I can get a great scent, albeit a "copy", at a price I can afford. Creed products (one example) are simply out of my budget.
Looks like a beautiful place to enjoy this special day. I am with Joseph, no need to be ashamed. I have a lot of perfumes and I also enjoy the ‘clones’ even when I own the original. Just enjoy
