Well, boys and girls, that was a weekend. Or should I say a Friday and Saturday night, followed by a lazy Sunday to recover. My weekend is just beginning. Whatever the order of the days, it' the second shave for Adjustable Arko August for me and the Toggle and Voskhod are still up and ready to go. Add in the Arko and use the Omega 10066 boar brush to get that lather up and running and it's epic. For the newer members (or you old guys with bad memories like..........ah heck I forget your names but you know who you are) "BoS" stands for "Brush of Shame". For whatever reason, I decided on a No-buy July my first year around here and it lasted until I saw this brush and decided I wanted it. Lost a NB July over an inexpensive boar brush - but it's always been one of my favorites. My synthetic addiction pushed this one to the back of the cabinet but it's a reliable performer with a great soft yet firm backbone in it.

Three passes and I am as smooth as is humanly possible. And that was taking down three days growth. Very nice shave and I'm ready for another day off before returning to the rat race. Hope you had a great day today and good luck with Monday!!!

Back to it after Saturday's bloodbath!

Lovely, lovely shave today. No chasing the baby, no blooming nonsense and no adjusta-roo.
Just a rock(et) solid shave whilst my skin recovers.

The Soap is a std for all others in my den. Usually, if a soap doesn't match it in performance, it's retired into the bottom drawer!

The blade and razor is a good match as well. The razor is amazing. A real work of quality and workmanship and i've non better made in my den.
  9. That is an unusual and super mug!

I wouldn't bother with the Alum block. A simple styptic pencil is better for bloodwork (they are cheap and disposable) and a alcohol splash is much better at toning and healing sore skin.

I threw my alum block away. Never used it and was just a pointless addition. IMHO obv.
