  2. Good morning all.
Menthol Monday, I forgot the menthol.
Oh well, another wonderful Monday shave non the less. Using Arko with my Omega #48 brush worked out great. This brush needs some serious shave time. I have another boar brush that is "broke in" and feels much better, lathers easier too. My adjustable knock off of something more expensive with a Nacet blade gave me a wonderful shave. Seems if I mow the gord first, blades work better on the face. The after shave is different, it does have some skin goodness but not much, need to really splash it on to tell.
Still way, way behind on my nightly reading, but I'll have some time to catch up soon, hopefully.

  14. No argument from Primo regarding your statement. But seriously, how many "original" scents are out there, compared with "tweaks", "variations", and down-right "copies"? Just like stories, there are just so many "original" ideas: Screen Shot 2019-08-05 at 07.33.49.png
I would argue that scent creation is far more complex with many more degrees of variance, but the human olfactory system is not going to accept MOST of the iterations. Your spot on with B&M, which regularly pushes the envelope and takes extraordinary risks. Then there are the out-right fails. With all of the players in this game, it cannot come as a surprise that the majority of scents are either based upon or stolen from original and more importantly successful scents.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Kai Captain Mild
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: Soap Commander 13A▲
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill aftershave

Got behind on the thread yesterday. I'll catch up today. Wonderful shave this morning. Had not shaved since Friday evening so there was plenty to mow down. I really enjoy the Black Hawk when there is more than a day's stubble. Mows through so efficiently. The soap is on its last legs and I'll pursue through to the end. It's been terrific.

Teacher workdays start today through Wednesday and students come back Thursday to begin the school year. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Another weekend that was too short. Up and moving a little slowly this morning. The little badger brush whipped up the TOBS herbal sandalwood with ease. This brush releases the lather so quickly, I am going to have to make an effort to overload the brush for more lather on the 3rd pass. I really like the herb and sandalwood blend of scents. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Fine Santal Absolut and I am off to battle the morning commute. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
  20. I'm not sure everyone subscribes to the practice, but at about 29 min in this video you will see it done.

I like to prove things out, hence my current longevity test.
