What a difference a day makes - 24 little hours!

After the debacle of yesterday this shave today was magnificent. The new Wilkinson blade in my Super Speed slaughtered all that stubble and left me absolutely BBS. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap lathered so rich, with that typical Stirling slickness which made the blade skate over my face, that gorgeous scent filled my bathroom, and the menthol sensation pummeled me non stop. The Glacial Unscented balm and the Arctique aftershave took that freeze to another level. I was enjoying myself so much that I did three passes, so I wouldn’t waste that lovely lather and freeze. It felt so good to be so smooth!

 

I am of the opinion that the #58 was perhaps Gillette's finest hour tbh.

A magnificent package.

My my, what a smooth comfortable shave! Hadn't used the Super Speed for several years and thought that today should be the day. I've kept it on display since it's my birth year (47) and it's pristine. But used it today with tremendous results. My face is very very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

I could not find any injector blades here in RI, but I did find a Dollar Tree and so I bought me one of their Assured Safety Razors.
Monday's Shave

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #296 Brush. I did two passes with the Dollar Tree Assured razor with a Assured DE Blade and althought the blade was a bit tuggy on the first pass, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Mitchell's Wool Fat Monday SOTD

Well, it came... I just acquired a SS Colonial General from the forums and thought I'd give it it's first run today. All in all, a good but not great shave. I presume the blade is spent as it wasn't as smooth as I was expecting. MWF didn't disappoint though! Still ended up nice and close after the third pass. I'll toss the blade and start fresh.
