  1. Understood, Jim. I got nervous when I saw Lisa and Kathy comparing notes at the meetup. I walked up, and they stopped talking. Now I have a black eye and...well we're not quite sure what you have, but I'm sure ice packs will help reduce the swelling. In the meantime, sleep on your stomach or your side. :)

In the den this morning before heading back to work. Kept going with the SA 109 to stay on focus for another day and pulled out the excellent CF soap. Love the straight up Lime and it is a very slick soap. 3 passes on 7 to darn near complete smoothness. Finished with this grapefruity Fougere, also a fine product.
    Have a great day, all!
  3. Razor: Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable 1961
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Elite Razor Gold Laced Black Onyx w/APShaveCo. Tuxedo Extra Dense
    Soap: CRSW- Jeff's Soap
    Cologne: Floid Blue
Bowl: The Distinctive Goat Sinker Bowl

Decided to go with adjustable razors this August. I checked my notes, it appears I haven't used them for awhile. I'll also stick with synthetic knots for the month. Still going from left to right with shave soaps.

Tuesday's shave included Noble Otter Lonestar.
The scent-profile can be read in the above picture and it's quite an unusual cacophony of scents.
Over-arching is the hay and sage.
The soap base is excellent, producing a very shiny and slick lather.
BOTD is a (Grey Box Era) Simpson Emperor 3 Super Badger.
This brush would be perfect, if the girth of the handle
    was slightly larger.
Started with a North to South WTG pass. :happy088:
2nd pass left ear to chin. :happy088:
Right ear to chin. This wasn't so good. It felt as if the blade had some chips on the edge
and I was left with two weepers, one up by my cheek and the other just
    above my jaw.
Cleaned up the chin and called it quits.
Bleeding was minimal and quit almost
    immediately. Just strange. :signs002:
    User error most likely.
I can't get over how wonderful the post-shave properties of the NO AS are.
Two splashes; first massaged in, second patted on.
  7. Thank you Terry. Most days I don’t mind going to work.

  9. I did not have time yesterday to shave him but when I do he gets a wet shave. I normally use the Karve and some nice smelling soap. He seems to enjoy it.

  12. Thanks Perry. I found this injector razor a while back at a flea mall. It had the Schick handle rot. I had a piece of half inch aluminum rod and cut it to length and bored a hole in the end on a small lathe and then pressed the handle onto the head splined area. It is a very comfortable razor to use. If you have a Schick that has the handle rot send the head to me and I'll fix one up for you. Take care. PM if you have one.....I am having a hard time keeping up lately.

  20. Great shave, Jason. I tried and tried to like this CF Lime. Two tubs and the ASB. Pitched the first tub and the balm and sold the second. To my nose it smelled exactly like a floor cleaning product. I know I am in the minority, but ugh.
