Have adopted, via eBay, a late 40s S.S. that's in rough shape and needs work, that no one wants. Not an issue of RAD, more of something to get my mind off work of an evening. Already adopted a pup recently so a second one is out, I'll settle for a razor.
I ordered a Stahly Live Blade razor with case for $40 on eBay. The seller says it still winds up and vibrates.
Last time I went to change the blade on mine the threaded shaft from the cap had stuck in the handle. When I got *something* to loosen it was the top end of the handle. I exposed the counter weight and associated gears to light for maybe the first time since it was built. Fortunately it went back together and still functions. I'd suggest a bit of lubrication on those cap threads unless you want to gaze into the abyss.
