thank you Joe..the soap is softish like an arko stick..but is a puck..the rfb with a gillette blade is a fantastic shaver..

I'll try to expand my July description. Went and grabbed every Fougère labeled AS and SC I have (7). Yeah....guess I kind of like Fougère.

Now....I'm no good with most individual aroma notes...just the major ones. Trying to get me to describe a 3rd undertone base....useless. Make sense?..Ok, full speed ahead.

The Razorock Blue Fougère is a sweet 'darker' Fougère. Really like it, and is 3 women (the only 3 that matter, wifey and 2 daughters) approved. I'd buy it again, even if they didn't.

The RR Blue Fougère is to my nose, extremely close to Wholly Kaw La Fougère Parfaite, but darker (in a good way). What it is that makes it smell darker, I don't know, and their web description doesn't help me.

MdC Fougère & SV Felce Aromatica (I only have the SSoaps) - these smell more 'clean', but less pronounced, softer. Of these two, I'd buy SV again. Wholly Kaw Fougère Bouquet (their original offering of Fougère) is closer in aroma to SV FA, than to MdC (but still very close to WK La Fougère Parfaite). Also have Ginger's Garden, Fougère Fern AS...it's a bit off to me. Fougère with a woodsy tobacco lean? Like the face feel, not so sure on the aroma. And then there's Chatillon Lux TSM Fougère AS, Fougère with prominent dark tobacco/old leather? (never used it, was part of a lot purchase, maybe a PIF someday, don't know if I'd do that to someone, maybe it's drain cleaner).

So....I'd buy again, in order. WK-both SC and AS, both Fougère options. If still available, Razorock Blue Fougère AS (not necessarily the SC, it's too close to WK aroma). SV Felce Aromatica.

Hope my scatter brain thoughts help y'all in some way.

 

that is awesome sir..thank you ..one day..still enjoying the great sense of accomplishment i am getting from simple de shaves..i am getting the various brushes,soaps and different gillettes dialed in pretty well..thoroughly enjoying them..great investment..i truly hated shaving when i used carts..

I'd drop a mention for What The Puck. I haven't tried the Orange or Blue, but the Lime is a hard puck, triple milled Italian style, and gives really good lather for near discount price. Look for the three pack for the best price.

Thank you Gentlemen of the 30 DC! For my next guest assistant I'm hoping to hold my almost 4 year old grandson's attention long enough to hand him an empty DE so he can shave with me before his first day of Pre-K. I'll let y'all know how that goes.

fine soaps are fantastic .they do lose their scent if left open for a long time though..

 

If you are OK for rice as carbs try non-traditional sushi. There is a soybean alternative to the green seaweed wrap. Instead of raw fish you might use a sliced burger patty, cheese and pickles with a ketchup or mustard dipping sauce. I've experimented with peanut butter and jelly sushi, too.
