Friday's Shave Cold Water Rinse LaToja Shaving Stick Jayaruh #296 Brush Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip CVS CS SE CWR Granddad's Blend Somewhere in Pennsylvania. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #296 Brush. I did two passes with the Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip razor with a CVS CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Friday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Wilkinson day 5 Derbylux SC Prep ASB Razorock Don Donato AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP Kind of a rushed shave because I have to take my Mom to her eye doctor but the results were nevertheless excellent. This Derbylux cream from Hungary smells lovely, it’s a pleasure to lather up with, and it’s slightly mentholated - its postshave care is also very good. I started a brand-new container of Prep after finishing the other one in record time - that scent and cooling soothing felt so good. The Don Donato aftershave has a small menthol sensation also and although it smells great it doesn’t disrupt a fragrance. BBS in two fast passes with no issues! Have a good weekend!

I sampled a round-table of fig scents and really liked Figuier Eden. Figuier Eden was the best 'airy' fig scent. I really was impressed by L'Artisan Premier Figuier in terms of a pure fig tree in a bottle. I ultimately went for Costume National Homme though due to the 'dried fruit' effect (like smelling fruit from a trail mix bag) along with a central fig effect. I just liked how full and forward Costume National Homme was. Fig fragrances aren't for everyone and it's not easy to find one that works. In terms of 'realism' I think L'Artisan Premier Figuier wins. In terms of likability and universal appeal, Costume National Homme just has a very enjoyable and 'happy' vibe. If you like fig scents you should smell those two. Figuier Eden is a good one though. Classy, not overdone and pleasant. I like it better than Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee, which is in the same 'airy' genre. Figuier Eden just does the 'airy' vibe better with fig than the Hermes Un Jardin. And that's saying something since Jean Claude Elena did Un Jardin and Elena is the King of 'airy', fruity scents.[/QUOTE]Tim, thanks for that post. I had l'ap on my list to try. I have 3 figs, and for me my preference in order is Dyptique phylosikos, Armani, and ADP Fico. I have got to get my nose on the L'ap and the National Homme. That dried fruit vibe is nice in the fall Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
