Yes, I know, it's Adjustable ARKO August. But, with the return of the Fuzzy one
@wchnu and his mention yesterday that today is Williams Wednesday, I can give the Arko a day off and play along. I even have a Semogue boar brush, the 620, to use to create that lather. Now, the Fuzz machine mentioned that he thought everyone should own a Semogue 1305 as well in a slightly later post yesterday. See? I DO pay attention so y'all better not slip up around here! I have looked at the 1305 before as well as the SOC but never ordered either one. I've been happy with my two Omegas and while I do love the Semogue 620, do I really need another brush? I have all of my snythetics too, as well as two nice badgers and now the hybrid. Ah, what the heck. It's the Fuzzter. My 1305 will arrive early next week.
You'll notice from my main picture today how dry my remaining Williams is. We're talking bone dry. Dessicated. It's been to the desert on a horse with no name. So of course, it needs to be soaked right? Soused? Bloomed - perhaps?....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................OK, the Fuzz monster should be done screaming at the screen now. No, I did NOT molest the Williams. What do you take me for...a fool? (Don't anyone answer that - I swear Natalia will visit you in your sleep). Nope, I just soaked the brush good and went to work on that dry puck to make some Williams lather. And, after a couple of minutes, I had definite progress.
I gave it a bit more work and went to the face lather. A nice lather worked up and I grabbed the Russian razor with the Russian steel loaded and went for full-on Motherland glory! The lather was nice and slick, if a bit thinner than I like, but the hyper-aggressive Consul opened up to full destructive mode was a kitten. I got three passes of lather out of the small 620 and three smooth passes to bring out the baby with no blood, and quiet alum. Clearly, a very nice shave. Williams Wednesday in Arko August. I think the Fuzzman knew what he was talking about. Everyobody have a great Wednesday!!
