the knots absorb too much water at the base and split the beechwood handles if you soak the whole brush instead of just immersing the bristles..my second one has been fine since i learned that..
Saturday's Shave Cold Water Rinse LaToja Shaving Stick Jayaruh #296 Brush Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip CVS CS SE CWR Granddad's Blend Spent the night in Roanoke, VA. Another great shave. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #296 Brush. I did two passes with the Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip razor with a CVS CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Saturday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Wilkinson day 6 Reitzer SS Prep ASB Booster Mosswood AS Splash I’ve been neglecting the Reitzer soap for a long time and that’s not nice because it’s so good - it smells beautiful, five minutes of blooming it was enough for it to give me a boatload of great lather with such a soothing, comfortable postshave feeling. I know I sound like a broken record but I love the Prep so much and the Booster Mosswood aftershave is one of my top favorites - what a lovely old school barbershop scent it has. Three passes made minced meat out of my tough stubble and left me looking gorgeous as well as mega-BBS!
