  5. Demascara.jpg

Fremont, Ohio made Demascara. I admit that the scales is what first drew me to this SR. Later it was the ability for the metal to take an edge.
  6. No denying it, that is a very cool Razor.

I do too, I didn’t see it when I bought it so it was nice surprise.
  7. Thanks Keith.

Cape 1000 13/16, soap was PdP lathered with a Tulip 2, and a splash of Agua Balsamica finished up for BBS. I refreshed the razor last night for a fresh smooth edge.

The razor is a bit of an oddity. People sometimes ask if Tanifuji made the Cape Swedish Steel series for Nichiri Barber Supply, and the answer is probably yes, and for this one, certainly yes because it has a Tanifuji stamp on the obverse side. The scales are also different, usually these come in black scales that are squared off a bit on the ends. The obverse tang is usually stamped ‘For Barber’s Use First Quality’ rather than the Tanifuji stamp. I’ve seen one other in black scales, and I’m thinking maybe these were prototypes or samples made for Nichiri.
  9. :love055: It looks it just arrived from the factor, very nice.

6/8 Simmons Hardware Hornet, and you know the shave is going to be good when the razor is stamped ‘Warranted Satisfactory Or No Sale’. Soap was PdP lathered with a Tulip 2 and a splash of Harris Pink topped off a smoothie.
  16. 5/8 Dovo Carre

Had a fantastic shave with this Solingen blade. I did refresh the edge on a Charnley Forrest hone before the shave.
