Pulled the trigger on Vaer heritage automatic kickstarter this morning. Christmas present to my self, I guess. Closest I’ll own to a Tudor ranger, I suppose without a lottery largesse... have really wanted a clean no date automatic, and for $300 the Vaer seems like a lot of watch. Plus side is they have a screw down crown, so I’m hoping for some real water resistance, unlike my Hamilton. https://www.kickstarter.com/project...and-rugged-durability?ref=discovery&term=Vaer
I can't help my self... got in on this one too.. https://www.kickstarter.com/project...ritish-vintage-dive-watch-reissue/description Think I'm going with the blue. There are two watches left...
Got the battery for my $5 goodwill KC. Works fine, comfortable to wear. As more guys have switched to smart watches, decent timepieces have shown up for peanuts.
Mainspring on my black Caravelle broke; it's 52 years old, so no suprise. A local watchmaker gave me an unexpectedly good price on fixing it plus clean and service.
I got this Timex Expedition for Christmas, my first Timex since I was a kid, but wanted a different watch strap. The leather one is OK, but I prefer one that doesn't taper much. Plus a black one in my opinion would look better. So I just got this military style nylon strap to put on. And in case someone notices, I also prefer the strap reversed..................
What I have Now. What I’m getting Tomorrow. A Grand Diver. So STOKED. Yea I’m a Watch Horse. So the ( SWMBO ) Says. Sent from my iPhoneXR using Tapatalk
When I was in high school I worked part time at a clock and watch shop. I repaired simple mechanical clocks, electric clocks, did general cleaning and so on. I still favor mechanical movements in timepieces. This was in the 1960’s.
Bought this a couple of days ago. Gearbest.com. I’m checking out Cheap Chinese Watches. This one in black and another in Green. I like the simple Dive watches. This one was $18.90 on AliExpress. What the heck why not. Sent from my iPhoneXR using Tapatalk
