For less than $10 shipped I picked up a non-working Series A Stahly. Besides being offered almost free I wanted a silver plated head -- which this looks like -- to go with my chrome and polished brass versions. Thursdays almost all English shave minus the brush and the German made blades. I'm really enjoying the wilkinsons sword TTO.
A bit less than 24 hours stubble so I didn't think a morning shave would properly test my new Ever-Ready Streamline or Timeless Aluminum. So my get back on schedule shave went to my newly arrived $4 silver Series A Stahly. The 1940s Series A has a smaller guardspan, exposed blade tabs, and weighs 2g less than my chrome Series C I've been using the last two months. I was expecting a less mild shave given the shorter guardspan but if anything the opposite seemed to be the case, I had a bit harder of a time maintaining optimum angle and pressure. The ‘65 Flare tip. I have one from @jimjo1031 I think and it’s used very often. Great every day shaver and even performs very well when I skip a day. Mine is my birth year and quarter razor that I’ll always keep.
