  2. Danny, one of these days(or years)I might order the 1 lb. "Shave Soap Cream". No brush needed, you just dip in manually. Kinda like having just sprayed some Barbasol(or Clubman)in your hand-(the can).

  6. Danny, nice shave! They can probably catch a whiff of you around Toomsuba with all that Clubman.
  7. Terrific photo and setup. More Gondolier! Jim and Mark used that scent yesterday. Sorry for the rough start to your day. I'm sure it'll get better.

  9. No shave for me today. Last night we had our first performance of the year at the scrimmage game for our team. The kids did well and had a good time, which is more important. So that took up most of my afternoon and evening yesterday.

Yard work later this morning and then we're meeting my parents for lunch.

Alice brought me a few shaving items from her grandmother's house. They are cleaning it out as her grandmother recently moved to an assisted living facility (she's 94). Her husband died about five years ago and they're still cleaning stuff out. Anyway, Alice and Wilson were over there helping out on Thursday and she came across some shaving stuff. It's all pretty old and dusty. Here's a picture:

The Old Spice mug (my first!) has soap in it. The red lid is flimsy plastic and is a little cracked. You can see how dusty stuff is. Hermitage straight razor, a Klenzo badger brush (needs to be reknotted), older version of Williams, and some type of Valet SE razor.

I plan to use the Old Spice and Williams at some point. Hopefully this version of Williams is better than modern Williams. :scared003: I've been chatting with @Primotenore about this version of Williams and it looks like it's not the terrific vintage formula but rather the iteration after it. It's not the modern Williams recipe.

Anyway, it's always neat to inherit items and I know this group would appreciate this haul.

  12. We're low carb so we don't have grains or sugars in the house at all. I'm pretty proud of my waffle recipe. They taste just like waffles but less than three carbs each.

  13. Wonderful picture, Jim! I hope the day gets better. I made waffles this morning, also. The kids love them, and I make enough for several days so it is a bit easier in the mornings for my wife.
  14. I just saw this after you posted. Would you mind sharing the recipe? My wife and I would like this. :)
  15. Thank you, Perry!

  19. Thanks! I was fortunate to haul in a bunch of stuff from a great uncle a couple of years ago. That’s where the Fatboy that I use on Fridays came from.

  20. I understand. However, I am a very active, youthful 64 year old man and carbs are very important to me. I go the gym 6 days a week. As long as it is complex carbs, then it's ok! However, I allow myself ice cream or frozen yogurt, once in a while.
