  1. I understand their concern. It's all precautionary. It's a little frustrating to practice for such a short period when there's a lot to do, but it'll all work itself out in the end.

Yesterday was certainly a Monday. Rough day at work and then the a text from my wife that the a/c would need to be replaced. I can't complain the unit is 25 years old and was living on borrowed time. It just happened as we are paying all the tuition. I just had to remember not to sweat the small stuff and in the end it is all small stuff. I am working remotely this morning which allows me to have a more relaxing start to the day and avoid the commute traffic. With that in mind I took the time to load the Schapenmelk like it was 2 months past due and began face lathering. I took the time to add water slowly as I lathered. The effort produced a wonderful rich thick slick lather. My normal three passes and touch ups had the baby within reach. Looking at the brush overflowing with lather, I couldn't help myself and went for a 4th pass and buffed my neck. Wow what a shave. Keeping with the extra theme, I rubbed on some Krampert's Bay Rum which is weak on staying power but strong on skin care followed by a splash of Dominica Grand Bay Rum aftershave. A double dose of bay rum to start the day. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.

  3. I can't speak for Keith, but as a large blade (7/8 and up) shaver, the 5/8 feels very small. Also, you have to stop the shave to rinse the soap off the 5/8 more often than on a 7/8 blade. Personally, I like shaving with a 5/8 blade because it feels like I can zip through my shave because it is very light. Also, my first straight was a 5/8 Dovo and it's like coming home when I shave with it. However, I am with Keith, my preference is to use the larger blades.
  4. Wonderful post and shave, Clint! We had an old unit at our previous house. It was probably 25 years old. It was the upstairs A/C but it gave us fewer problems than the much newer unit for the main level. We kept both units going and alive and got it sold without having any replacements. Good luck!

  6. Thank you Perry. Our house is a big ranch with a full basement. This unit was on the girls side of the main floor. The other unit for the main floor is 25 years old as well with the basement unit being 12 years old. My guess is the other older unit will need to replaced soon. Maybe it won't happen at tuition time.
  7. Beautiful, Clint! Off to a great start today!
