Working on it. Unfortunately it's Natalia's turn to fly and we have trouble keeping the nose up when she's in the pilot's seat for some reason. May have to weld some ballast on that back tailfin.
August 13 G3 Gillette Slim Feather (3) 30 DC LE Brush with Tuxedo knot Third Pass Shaving Co. Red Line soap Alum, Thayers WH, USB, Clubman & Aramis I enjoyed an easy does it shave before a trip to the dentist and the grocery this morning. The Slim on 9 loaded with a Feather blade is an excellent combo, providing A+++ shaves almost every time. I recently started leaving a shave soap puck on the counter. It allows me to use it morning and evening for facial cleaning, and I can use it for the shave as well. I either lather off the puck while holding it in my palm, or I use it as a shave stick. It works fine either way. Most mornings, I've alternated between the Third Pass Shaving Co. soap and C.O. Bigelow. I like them both, and I plan to stick with them until they're gone. Likewise, I've been using my Kent and 30 DC LE brushes, depending on my mood. The Kent is pillowy soft, and the LE brush is quick and easy. When I finish off the bottle of Clubman, if I'm still alive, I plan to petition the House of Ed Pinaud in Paris for membership in the Hall of Fame and the complimentary walking stick and top hat. Have a great day, gents!
Wonderful shave, Clint, as per the SOP. Sorry to hear about the a/c. You certainly beat the odds there, but the timing could have been better. Have a nice day working remotely. Matlock and Heat of the Night reruns air on TNT later this afternoon.
First the blade is heavier and I find it easier to control. Second with a small blade even a small change makes a big change to the angle. So it is not the edge that makes the shape difference it is my ability to control it and fine-tune the angle I shave with.
Thanks Perry! It's a great feeling! Knowing that I have achieved such a skill that most men would never try or continue is simply amazing to me. It really boggles my mind that I can competently shave with a straight razor. Again, thank you!
Thanks Jim. I hope you are doing well and staying cool on the 12 hour shifts. Every time you talk about work at the refinery, it sounds very much like the place where I used to work. Overtime galore, always getting ready for the next outage, and Friday afternoon emergency work thrown in for added fun. Have you seen the 2020 Corvette? Black would be a nice color.
Only 7-9 years more to go on tuition to get them both through undergrad and grad school. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the other razor as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Weck Hair Shaper.....I inherited a few more things from Alice's grandfather, including one of these. This is a stock photo: Looks like the one I have has teeth on one side of the blade. Do you shave your face with one of these?
