All these photos and posts of Gillette Slims makes me want to get one out. I have one in a box that belonged to my great uncle. Unfortunately, probably the worse shave I've had from a DE or injector was with a Slim. I have some baggage to overcome. But, my technique is better now. You may just see one sometime this month!

The slim is one Gillette that I've never shaved with, even though I've had a countless number go through the shop. I figure the black beauty has to be pretty similar.
Veddy nice, Gary! The Slim is a nice shaver, but my Fatboys are better. My super speed redtip is nice looking but is a mild razor. I would use the redtip as a touchup or an emergency on a less than 16 hour stubble.
Give it another try and see if you change your mind. In the past, I have never enjoyed using my Slim. I have used my birth year Slim 5 times this year. While my technique is solid, I still don't like the razor. I guess it will be another couple of years before I forget how much I don't enjoy it and give it another try.
