good morning gents, quick wednesday shave,slim/7 oclock green again, klar sport soap, and the wcs synthetic brush..fantastic 2 pass dfs+,no drama.eternity aqua edt to finish..have a great day everyone..
Wondewrful shave Neal! It's surprising how smooth those razors are when rocking such a wide gap. Beautiful setup and cook new watch Keith! Awesome shot Jim! I like the Treet Platinum's as well, I think I have three or four hundred of them kicking around. Nice shave Terry! Put you thumb on the guard and move the dial, you should notice the guard moving up and down. I don't think the adjustment has much to do with blade gap but rather guard span. Awesome shot Perry! Congrats on finishing off the 13A▲! Fantastic shave Jim! The Pineapple Bay Rum is a fun scent! Fantastic shave Clint! Sorry to hear about the rough night and the funeral. I hope the day turns out to be not quite as long as you are anticipating.
Thanks Andrew I can see the gard move, and it does move the gard back and forth from the blade. I will get pictures later. So it is moving ok. Just think it's a mild razor. Does seem to shave like a cart, without the pulling and tugging, so long as I use a sharp blade that is. B-20's seem to do ok in that respect. tp
Nice Perry The PAL is a great razor, can't hurt yourself much with it. Can get a real good shave with it, if you know its quirks. Great pictures, thanks for posting them. tp
Very nice Jim. The nice thing about a slim is they're avalible, they shave nice and the aren't to pricey just yet. Cool picture tp
SOTD August 14th Declan's 1st birthday Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap EDRIO#105 Merkur 15C Shark Platinum (7) Paladin Winston (26mm, Frigate Class) Oleo Soapworks Fiera soap and AS Interesting thing happened this morning when I opened my soap, it had shrunk in the container and was rattling around. Anyone else experience this with an Oleo soap? It goes without saying that I soused the soap while I performed my Pre-Shave routine. Started to load the brush but the soap "puck" was just spinning around in the container. I tired to press back down in the container to keep it from spinning but that didn't help much. Eventually I got enough soap loaded but it was a chore. My efforts were rewarded with a super slick lather though, so I guess I can't complain too much. I did leave some water in the container with the soap in hopes that it gets absorbed and the soap softens back up so that it can be pressed back into the container. Three very easy passes with the mild Merkur 15C got me a nice DFS and the Shark is still going strong. Finished with a splash of the matching Oleo AS, which has a nice menthol kick to it, and I am smooth and smelling great. Have a great day my friends! Happy 1st birthday Declan! When I was younger, we used to visit a place that severed ice cream in Detroit Michigan. I think it was called Farrell's ice cream parlor. 6 of us would get a "pikes peak", they would bring it out on a stretcher, with sirens and lights. Haven't been to one in decade's, was fun. It looked something like that. Only a lot bigger. tp
AWESOMELYDELICIOUS shave Andrew. Very nice gear and a happy birthday to Declan! One year has went by fast.
